Vicksburg, Mississippi Events and Festivals

Schedule your Vicksburg vacation around the city's exciting events!

No matter when you want to plan your Vicksburg vacation, there is always a fun festival or event on the schedule.

During any given week you'll be able to choose Mississippi festivals and events ranging from art exhibits, casino entertainment, film festivals and theater performances to sporting events, historical celebrations, music concerts and more.

We are also looking forward to many fabulous events to enjoy throughout the year in Vicksburg. Traditional and special events fill Vicksburg's calendar. Come tour our pilgrimage of homes during Tapestry: The Pilgrimage to Vicksburg where 19 historic properties will have presentations that bring to life the heritage and culture of this remarkable river city throughout the entire month of April. Join us this summer and witness the living history program at the Vicksburg National Military Park with live cannon firing and demonstrations.

Vicksburg's largest festival, RiverFest celebrates its 25th anniversary this year in April with two nights of live music concerts featuring Easton Corbin, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Honey Island Swamp Band, the Dirty Guv'nahs, Bobby Rush, Patrick Smith and Co., Band Camp, and The Chill. Saturday activities features a full day of free daytime exhibitions including the annual RiverFest Arts and Crafts Show around City Hall featuring all handmade crafts, Kid's Land, Gospel Fest and sidewalk sales from our downtown boutiques. Don't forget to mark your calendars for other annual arts and crafts festivals in Vicksburg- the Old Court House Flea Markets and the Holly Days Arts & Crafts Show. The Old Court House Flea Market will be in the spring on April 14 and in the fall on October 6 around the Old Court House Museum, a National Historic Landmark. Holly Days Arts & Crafts Show is inside the Southern Cultural Heritage Center and features handmade crafts and live music.

If you are up for a race, check out our various competitions throughout the year including the Chill in the Hills, Run Thru History, Gator Bait Triathlon, Bricks and Spokes and Over the River Run. All of these races are fun experiences as well as challenging.

If you would like to submit an event to the Vicksburg CVB's Calendar of Events, please email laural@vicksburgcvb.org for an event submission form. The event must be in the Vicksburg area and open to the public.
