Museums

Vicksburg is home to a plethora of museums that are dedicated to the Civil War, whether it’s an antebellum home that re-enacts what life was like for citizens of Vicksburg during the War, or an actual gunboat- the USS Cairo Museum, that was lifted from the bottom of the Yazoo River in 1964! There is also the 150-year old Old Courthouse Museum, which hosted the likes of Jefferson Davis and Ulysses S. Grant. See our listings below to see which of our amazing museums are on your to-do list when you get to Vicksburg.
