Open daily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
At the Visitors Center, a 20-minute film which recounts the campaign is shown on the hour and half hour, beginning at 8:05 am. The last film begins at 4:30 pm; the theater seats 125 people. Guided tours are available, and reservations are recommended (See Personal Guided Tours section on page 8). The park commemorates the campaign, siege, and defense of Vicksburg in 1863 and includes over 1,340 monuments, markers and plaques, a 16-mile tour road, a restored Union gunboat, and a national cemetery. CD’s are available at the Visitors Center, where life-sized exhibits and artifacts from the siege of Vicksburg are on display. Entrance Fees: Per Vehicle – $8.00 (valid for 7 days). Per Individual – $4.00 (Pedestrian, biker, motorcycle, jogger, etc.). Church Bus or Van – $4.00 per person. For educational tours please call the park. Entrance fees for commercial tours: 1-6 Person $25.00; 7-25 Person $40.00; Over 25 $100.00. America the Beautiful Park passes available.
