faith-based travel
The special needs of faith-based travel can be graciously accommodated in Vicksburg. The city is filled with beautiful historic churches which are open for touring. The Church of the Holy Trinity boasts six Tiffany stained glass windows and the only known windows that honor those who died on both sides of the Civil War. Christ Episcopal Church is in the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the first buildings opening in Vicksburg for public assembly. The church also has two Tiffany stained glass windows and suffered shelling during the Civil War.Bethel AME Church was the first African Methodist Episcopal Church in Mississippi. In 1890, Campbell College, the first African American college in Mississippi was operated in the building behind Bethel. Vicksburg boasts so many glorious church and historical faith-based sites it is hard to list them all. The sales department is happy to assist in building a faith-based itinerary for your group.
