Within 30 miles of downtown Vicksburg are many opportunities for bird-watching while
touring our many scenic roads. Be sure to download the Vicksburg Area Nature
Guide which describes and provides directions to many of the more outstanding sites
in the Vicksburg area. Many of these sites are on the National Audubon Society's
Great River Birding Trail which extends the entire length of the Mississippi River.
Additional site details, including printable maps, GPS coordinates, and photos of
the sites on the Great River Birding Trail, can be obtained at www.greatriverbirding.org. See any of our listings
