Quapaw Canoe Company- Vicksburg Outpost

Quapaw Canoe Company has a new location in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to service adventurous travelers who want to experience the wild power of the Lower Mississippi River! Quapaw Canoe Company – Vicksburg Outpost was established in 2016 by big river guide Layne Logue for access into the wilds of the Mississippi Delta Hardwoods, Loess bluffs and Northeastern Louisiana Floodplain. Educational adventures also conducted into adjacent oxbow Lakes, river chutes, back channels, and seasonally flooded landscapes. This is a great way to experience the raw, wild, power and vitality of the Lower Mississippi River! Paddlers will experience towering bluffs, endless forests, expansive sandbars, and the beautiful muddy river. The best birding in the South. Perfect for adventurers and naturalists of all ages. No previous experience necessary, but must wear life jacket and be willing to paddle.

Whether you want Day Trips, Sunset/Sunrise/Full Moon trips, Overnight, or Multi-Day expeditions – we can give you an adventure by canoe or kayak on the Lower Mississippi River including Greenville, Mayersville, Lake Providence, Tara Wildlife Preserve, Madison Parish Boat Ramp (Tallulah, LA), Vicksburg, Grand Gulf State Park, Claiborne County Public Boat Ramp, Natchez, St. Francisville, Venice, South Pass to Gulf of Mexico and points in between!

Layne provides all-around guiding & outfitting services including canoes or kayaks, expert guiding, mouth-watering meals, and shuttles to and from the river. During the warm season, come prepared like you would be at a beach trip. Bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, towel, drinks, snacks, wear your bathing suit or quick dry clothing… because swimming in the river is the best way to cool off, and it’s FUN!

Call for fee: 601-529-7354. Each adventure is different, because it is designed to meet your needs. The fee includes canoes, paddles, lifejackets and all necessary river gear, first aid kits & emergency gear. If you want meals, they are optional. We can do all the food prep, campfire cooking, provide cookware & eat-ware & cleanup, or you can bring your own. If there is a shuttle, the fee covers transportation of canoes and gear plus my vehicle and driver for drop-off and pickup. The shuttle is calculated from the odometer, driver’s fee, round trip from Quapaw Canoe Company – Vicksburg Outpost.

May the River bless you,
