Guide to Fall Festival Weekend in Vicksburg

The season has finally changed to feel like FALL in Vicksburg and there is so much planned this weekend to celebrate!

Kick-off your day at the biggest 5K race in the state—Spooky Sprint! Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy carnival games after the event to get your Saturday started.

After you get your day moving at the race, head on over to the 2nd Annual Porchfest at Historic Fostoria. The event is from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm on front porches in Historic Fostoria Neighborhood (Drummond Street).

Find out where everything will be on the map below.

After Porchfest, you can take the kids over to the Chick-Fil-A Fall Festival and check out vendors and help raise money for the WinShape Camp Vicksburg. Just down the road, Sports Force Parks is also hosting its Fall Festival. There will be fun activities for the entire family including cornhole, face painting, family glow-in-the-dark kickball, a photo booth, pumpkin decorating, costume contest, for all ages, festival games, pie-eating contest and more!

The Westside Theatre Foundation presents the Rocky Horror Show at the Strand Theatre—a fun event that Vicksburgers always look forward to!

If you want to get into the Halloween spirit, there is plenty to do as well!

The Warren Central Big Blue Band presents its Carnival of Screams at the Vicksburg Mall from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm October 26 – October 31, featuring Ozbo of the Twisted Carnival. Vicksburg High School will present its Nightmare on Drummond Street on October 27 from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm at the school (Confederate Avenue side). The Southern Cultural Heritage Center is hosting its annual Haunted Halloween Ghost Hunt at 7:00 pm, and McRaven will also be hosting its ghost hunt investigation at 8:30 pm along with their Candlelight Tours.
