The Key
Vicksburg isn’t just a stop on the map — it’s where stories echo through brick streets and sunsets paint the Mississippi in gold.
Come for the history, stay for the music, the flavors, and the kind of charm that lingers long after you leave.
Things To Do
February 7 to February 8
This event will begin at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday at Parkside Playhouse, 101 Iowa Ave. An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up and the carnage has only just begun. Tickets are $20 per person, $15 for senior citizens, and $10 for children. For more information, call 601-636-0471.
